Inroad & Pastures

Your Vacation Starts the Moment You Pass Through the Farm Gate

The last quarter-mile road to our door is your first hint that things move a little slower here. It's a lovely drive any time of day, but walking the inroad at sunrise or dusk is when you really notice how special this place is. The Great Smoky Mountain foothills are always in view, and it's easy to lose track of time just taking it all in.

Keep an eye out for box turtles crossing the road during spring and autumn (please drive slowly -- they need all the help they can get). You might also spot our resident great blue heron fishing in the creek or monarch caterpillars tucked into the milkweed in summer.

Whether you hike up to the upper pasture for the mountain view or take a quiet stroll down the inroad with your dog, most guests tell us the same thing -- it doesn't take long for the outside world to feel very far away.

The BnB Home

A Place to Make Good Memories

Just bring your favorite people and whatever you like to cook -- we've taken care of the rest. Our goal is a comfortable, no-stress stay where you can settle in quickly and start relaxing.

  • For Groups of 1–3: The Main Home is cozy and fully equipped with a queen bedroom, full kitchen, and plenty of room to spread out. The sunroom is a guest favorite -- bright, quiet, and perfect for morning coffee. It also includes a private half-bath and a full-size futon for additional sleeping space.
  • For Groups of 4–5: The Add-on Guest Suite creates a “home-within-a-home” setup, giving everyone a little extra breathing room while still staying connected.
  • Host Note: If anything comes up during your stay, we're close by and happy to help. We live just minutes away on the other side of the property.

Farm Animals

Nigerian Dwarfs, Curious Cows, and Eggs from the Henhouse

The animals are a big part of daily life here. And for many guests, they end up being a highlight of the stay. Over the years we've raised a lot of animals, but our three Nigerian dwarf goats tend to steal the show. They're small, curious, and always busy -- and they seem to know exactly when someone is watching.

Our hens take care of breakfast, supplying fresh eggs each morning. The cattle are calm and easygoing neighbors, often wandering over to see what's happening near the house. You're welcome to take photos or offer them a treat of hay or a fresh apple from the human side of the fence.

The Mountains Are Calling. Your Farmhouse Table is Set.

Life on the farm moves at a different pace -- one shaped by early mornings, open windows, and sunsets that never seem to last long enough. We've spent twenty years falling in love with this land, and we'd love to share it.

Choose the stay that fits your group.
